Jhovani Carrillo

Jhovani was born and raised in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

He attended Basalt High School and graduated from Glenwood Springs High School.

After graduation, Jhovani attended Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in communication and a minor in digital media.

During his time at the university, Jhovani interned for Univision Colorado and Rocky Mountain PBS.

Before coming to El Paso, Jhovani worked as a digital multimedia journalist for KSN News and as a reporter for Telemundo Kansas in Wichita, Kansas.

He worked there for two years and was able to cover an array of stories such as crime, COVID-19, commissioner meetings, BLM protests, and many more.

During his time off, Jhovani likes to binge-watch Netflix shows, go on runs, go on bike rides and try new foods.
