A new survey reveals Texas and New Mexico kids may need more help with their homework than students in most other states.

In fact, the survey from the education website, Brainly, ranks New Mexico students as the most in need of homework help in the entire nation.

Brainly recently released its "Homework Help Index" for 2022, with its researchers using 25 factors to come up with its rankings.

They include things like test scores, graduation rates and student-to-teacher ratios, along with internet searches for homework help to come up with the results.

They showed Texas ranked 32nd nationwide using those measures, while New Mexico finished dead last, in 50th place, meaning it's the state most in need of homework help.

So why did New Mexico score so poorly in this survey?

It has the nation's highest high school dropout rate along with the lowest graduation rate and it finished next to last in both reading and math test scores, while Texas ranked among the 3 worst states when it comes to worrying about school.

Brainly says the states that need the least help with homework are Massachusetts and New Jersey.
