Three people were trapped after a house in Alabama was destroyed by a line of strong storms Wednesday afternoon, according to Mayor Latasha Johnson.
The mayor of Eutaw said no one was killed but one injury was reported.
There is currently no information on the extent of the person's injuries.
Johnson said there were several downed trees across different areas of the city.
The National Weather Service issued numerous tornado warnings, mainly in southeast Alabama and southwest Georgia, and cautioned that gusts of hurricane-force winds exceeding 90 mph were possible in parts of northeast Louisiana and central Mississippi.
Sheriff Larry Rowe of Cass County in eastern Texas told KYTX-TV that some vehicles were blown off a highway Wednesday afternoon as the county was under a tornado warning. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
On Tuesday, portions of Texas were hit with hailstorms.
Hail stones ranged from the size of quarters, to as large as 5.5 inches in diameter. To put that into perspective, if you took two baseballs and laid them side by side, that would be the same size as that 5.5 inch hail stone that was found in Lela, Texas.
Other communities and towns had numerous 2-inch to 4-inch hail reports, as well, which stripped limbs and leaves off of trees, busted car windshields, and even damaged some siding on a home or two.
Plus, a single supercell thunderstorm tore across a portion of Texas on Tuesday.
The storm produced a short-lived tornado that touched down in rural parts of Dallam County in the far northwest Texas panhandle. The tornado was only on the ground for three minutes.
