Souped-up vehicle to take over Ascarate Park
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Muscle cars, lowriders and motorcycles will be on display again this year for the Second Annual “Higher Level Car Show” at Ascarate Park.
This Summer attendees can check out all-types of vehicles and listen to live music from music artists such as Mexican- American rappers, Lil Rob, McMagic and Kenny Avila, also known as “El Perico Buchon.”
Lil Rob is known for the hit "Summer Nights," that debuted in 2005.
Attendees could also catch McMagic performing "Lost In Love."
The event is scheduled for July 16 at the park.
Contestants can enter the “Hopping Contest” for vehicles that can jump the highest or also enter the “Open Category” at a chance to win a cash prize.
Event organizer, Nannette Estrada, described last year’s attendance as “large.”
“Hoping for the same, or better, the community with El Paso always comes together and I know they will this time again,” Estrada said.
Activities will begin at 12 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m.
Tickets start at $28.50. They can be purchased online at Eventbright. Children 10 and under will be free.
